Daring Doves took the first step in their quest for glory in the Cello Maharashtra Badminton League 2012 auction buying four players.
For MBL Season-2, Daring Doves owned by Pratham Motors had already retained the services of three players - Eshan Naqvi, Subhankar Dey and Varun Khanwalkar - from last year’s squad.
With a reduced kitty of Rs. 1,40,400 for this year’s auction, after retaining three players, Doves went into the auction with an aim of buying four players.
The Doves bought two players from Group A and two from Group C.
Players bought from Group A were Saili Rane (Rs. 47,000) and Sanyogita Ghorpade (Rs. 37,000). Sanyogita will rejoin the franchisee she represented the previous season.
Players bought from Group C were Jayendra Dhole (Rs. 21,000) and Prashant Bahatre (Rs. 16,000).
The team will have enough time to gel together before their opener against Graceful Gulls on the 26th of May.
