Daring Doves lost 2-3 to defending champions Sensational Skylarks in a close encounter in Round 5 of the group stage.
Doves had a great start with Subhankar Dey winning the opening match.
Saili Rane missed opportunities and went down in a hard fought game.
Prashant Bahatre and Eshan Naqvi gave Doves the lead once more in the match. The overcame their opponents in straight sets.
Skipper Varun Khanval kar failed to take advantage of the score and went down fighting.
It was down to the mixed doubles to decide the winner of the match. However, Sanyogita Ghorpade and Jayendra Dhole fell just short of the target.
